PRESS INFORMATION:
At MEWS42 Gallery in London two Danish people, artist Per Hillo and fundraiser and Ausira International coordinator Ole Bang, met at a larger event, Wednesday November 12th 2008, where a presentation of donations to a new international research project took place for nearly 100 visitors, including several Danish and English members of The Danish-UK Chamber of Commerce in London. (www.ducc.co.uk)

Following the presentation and sale of these works, the funds generated will go towards the initiation of a unique research project: Music Listening Intervention in a Hospice Setting. The first pilot project will be at one of the 10 biggest hospices in England, The Princess Alice Hospice in Esher, south of London. Second pilot project will be at Hospice of St. Francis in Berkhamsted.

The not-for-profit research organization, AUSIRA INTERNATIONAL also hopes to launch studies similar to The Princess Alice Hospice study in Norway, Denmark and the USA beginning in 2009, once sufficient funding has been raised.

The 'opening sponsorship' from Per Hillo is expected to be able to finance the purchase of the Music Sound Players, which were developed in Denmark, and will be used in the first two pilot studies in English hospices.

Head of the research organisation, leading senior doctor, Per Thorgaard, Aalborg, states:
"Per Hillo's donations may prove to be truly groundbreaking for the AUSIRA research, to the benefit of patients suffering from anxiety, all over the world."
